How to Create a New User using Windows 2000 Active Directory

1.  Login to the system as administrator.

2.  Run the "Active Directory Users and Computers" utility.  This can be found in many places, but should always be accessable from the control panel:

Start Button -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Active Directory Users & Computers

3.  Right Mouse Click on the Users folder and select New -> User.

4.  Enter in the user information on the first screen (First Name, Last Name, Full Name, Username, etc.)  Click Next When finished.

5.  On the second screen enter the required password information.  Click Next when finished.

6.  If you are running Exchange on your network a screen will appear with the Exchange user info.  Verify this information is correct and click next.

7.  The final screen is the summary screen.  Verify that all of the information is correct and then click on finish to create the user.

8.  You can test the user's login on any computer that is a part of the network domain.
